We were looking outward at the edges of what we know we can do with our songwriting and we wanted to expand it. We were looking down untaken paths. As Neurosis gears up for its European and US tours, the band looks back on Through Silver in Blood: "Through Silver in Blood was musical and spiritual compression. It was our combination of blood, tears, sacrifice and heart focused into our music and compressed and smashed into layers upon layers until nothing else could be added. It was at once a complete scattering of what we were as musicians and people, and a cleansing." — Jason Roeder
Je to tak, naši oblíbený kolegové ze Scrape Soundu slaví čtvrtstoletí! A slaví ho na lodi v pondělí 11. června. "No jo, co k tomu říct? Dvacet pět let, to je dlouhá doba! Je to i spousta koncertů, některých nepovedených, ale v drtivé většině, zaplaťpánbůh, povedených, ba slušné penzum těch opravdu nezapomenutelných. Je to taky hodně průserů… Ovšem mraky nesmazatelných zážitků a dodnes trvajících přátelství – lokálních i mezinárodních. Nejcennější na tom je, že to furt děláme jaksi bokem a že to furt děláme rádi – pro uspokojení svého vlastního fanouškovství," píšou SS a tohle my můžeme z vlastní zkušenosti jen a jen potvrdit. As Neurosis gears up for its European and US tours, the band looks back on Enemy of the Sun: "While touring “Souls” we began to answer the call of psych trance states through intense repetition and infused it with a reckless fury that would come to define Enemy of the Sun. It was originally intended to be an EP, but we were so inspired after the organic and seemingly effortless recording of the first few songs with Billy at Razor’s Edge, that we went back to the rehearsal space for a couple weeks and fleshed it out into a full length." — Steve Von Till
Neurosis se před evropským turné, který startuje 15. června v Praze (lístky všude možně, bez poplatku třeba TADY), vracejí ke svým starším deskám, který komentuje Dave Edwardson... "Looking back at all of Neurosis' records as the band gears up for its European and US tours. Here's a note from Dave Edwardson, on Souls At Zero: ´In retrospect Souls At Zero was the jumping off point for our progression towards our later sound. We took chances, we integrated synthesizers and samples and challenged ourselves to abandon our punk roots and wrote songs that we knew would in turn challenge our listeners and probably alienate a good deal of them.´"

Mountain Dust jsou už v polovině svýho turné a hlášky, který posílají z
cest, jsou plný nadšení a radosti - přesně takový, jaký bychom očekávali

Nový video Mountain Dust ovšem trochu zaskočilo i jejich bývalýho
krajana Torra. Je to temná historka z Boise de la Pointe St Gilles? Je
to parodie? Mají budoucnost v Hollywoodu? Posouďte sami. Mountain Dust
budou v úterý na Sedmičce zahajovat večer, pak budou hrát slovutný E.

"Jestli si vzpomenete na jména jako Unwound, Mission of Burma, The Ex nebo Shellac, vzpomenete si velmi správně," psal Aran v lednu 2017 v recenzi na debutovou desku E a přidal: "Kytarový linky parádně balancujou na hraně mírný kakofonie, mužskej a ženskej vokál si k sobě hledají cesty – nepřipadá mi to jako jednorázovej projekt tří osobností s vlastní historií, ale jako fakt parádní ´celá´ kapela, u který doufám v pokračování." Pozor pozor - koncert Cars & Trains, Haco a Gurun Gurun začne v neděli v Kaštanu nějak po sedmý, přijďte včas. První hraje Tom, kterýho můžete vidět ještě v sobotu ve Všetatech na Sakraphon one man pičus festivalu, kde hraje i Horní tok, Bolehlav a Květoslav Dolejší. Jsou to poslední dva koncerty Cars & Trains v Česku.
